Our love story with weddings

Love stories are among the oldest and most inspiring stories on earth. Each one is different. And each one offers a rich tableau of human emotion. As creative types, it’s why we love our work. To bear witness to the start of a couple’s lifelong journey is both an honour and a joy.

Welcome to Artisan – we’re a married photography duo in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley region. Our work is one part artistic vision, and one part love story. The artists in us frame every shot with an eye for detail – and our deep appreciation, as a married couple, for the relationships that connect and sustain us throughout our lives mean that we instinctively get to the emotional heart of things. Weddings are a story we love to tell over and over – each journey is different, each day brings its own beautiful moments, and each community has its own way of celebrating.

We come to your day with plenty of creative inspiration and enthusiasm, a collaborative attitude, and a relaxed and supportive – but detail-oriented – approach that will instantly set you at ease. Looking back on our own wedding memories, we know what’s important to capture on the big day and we won’t miss a thing!

I’m a 30-something Novocastrian with a knack for making things. Whether it be music, art, my garden or renovating my house, you can find me 30 YouTube “how-to” videos deep on any given night. I’m often up for a laugh and I like people to feel relaxed and comfortable around me - I make it my mission to ensure your day goes smoothly and with calm heads.

I personally don’t enjoy having my own photos taken, however this empathy helps me ensure that it’s a good experience for the couple that I am capturing. I’m a believer that life is best lived when you’re kind to people, think positively and do what you love.

I’m a Canadian-born wedding photographer who now calls the stunning coastal city of Newcastle home. I have an infectious passion for creativity and a keen eye for capturing the most joyful and spontaneous moments, I aim to bring a unique and dynamic perspective to every wedding I photograph.

My work is more than just photography; it's a celebration of love, laughter, and all the fun moments that make weddings truly memorable. I pride myself on my ability to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for my clients, ensuring that every image I capture is a genuine reflection of the love and happiness shared on the special day.
